JOE PERRY To Play Single Show In New York City To Launch Solo Album
April 14, 2005Launch Radio Networks is reporting that AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry is getting ready for a special concert in New York City next month. His self-titled solo album comes out two days earlier, on May 3, and he's going to play the Webster Hall club on May 5 to launch it. As of now, it's the only show he's announced. Perry told Launch that he had some ideas about a short tour, but it just didn't work out, so this New York City event is the next best thing. "I'd thought about doing that at first, but I, I think that it's gonna take up too much time, so I'm gonna give this a real good kick-off party, and with the help of the record company, we're gonna have some fun with that in New York, and then it's gonna be off on its own," he said.
AEROSMITH is nearing the end of their year-long break, so Perry will rejoin his mates for a lengthy tour starting in late September or early October. The band will also release a live album at that time.
